PLAST-CONTROL / Lebbing: Special data link for machine control and drive technology

During a retrofit, the obsolete machine control was replaced by a PLAST-CONTROL NAVIGATOR; frequency converters and motors were converted to AC technology from Siemens by Lebbing.

The signals were transmitted via a newly programmed data link. If, for example, the extruders are switched on at the PLAST-CONTROL NAVIGATOR, the “ON” signals are transmitted via the data link, the switch-on conditions are checked on the Lebbing PLC, the frequency converters are switched on; feedback is provided via the bus.

A very smart solution from PLAST-CONTROL and Lebbing to transmit all signals quickly, safely and easily and to minimise the cabling effort.
